The Safe Harbor Vacation medical plan provides cover while between contracts or while on vacation. Most shipboard employees have no private medical cover at all. In many parts of the world this means that a crew member who is injured or becomes ill while signed off has to rely on any available government plan treatment. This may include waiting periods for treatment and limited choice of doctors or hospitals.
The Safe Harbor Vacation medical plan has given thousands of crew members access to the finest private medical treatment in the world and helped ensure that crew return to duty fit and healthy.
